We’re *nuts* for fall salads – Jewtewb

A perfect salad for your Holiday table is one that incorporates the colors and flavors of the season. I like to use nuts and fresh or dried fruits in my salads. For fall holidays, it is nice to use sliced or diced apple or pear, dried cranberries, and nuts like chopped walnuts or pecans. Emerald sells resealable pouches of various nuts, plain or glazed, that are delicious on salads. I especially like glazed walnuts with a dried and fresh fruit mix on mixed greens. You can find them at most grocery stores and even on Amazon.

Depending on your level of kosher-ness, sprinkling some feta or gorgonzola cheese atop your salad really rounds out the flavors and makes a beautiful presentation. Throw some small red and yellow tomatoes on top, add a balsamic vinaigrette (store-bought is fine!) and voila! A beautiful fall salad!
